My Story

My tech journey began with a near-disaster in college. I almost dropped out because of a programming class I couldn't pass. I failed it twice, and on my last chance - the one that would decide my entire career path - I somehow pulled through. Talk about a close call!

Despite this rocky start, I pushed on. For years, I climbed the career ladder, always feeling something was missing. Craving independence, I founded a startup - the most exciting and risky decision I'd ever made. I invested all my savings, but ultimately, it failed, leaving my bank account at $0. Ouch.

That blow left me lost. I doubted if software engineering was really for me, spending years trying to figure out what I wanted in life. Eventually, I rebuilt my career, progressing from senior to staff engineer. I was constantly learning and growing, but still wasn't sure if it was enough.

Aiming high, few years ago I applied to Google. I prepared for months, learning day and night, often too stressed to sleep. After the first interview, I thought it went well, but they rejected me the next day.

That hit me hard. I was at rock bottom again, wondering if I'd ever make it in tech.

But you know what? It was worth it. Those experiences taught me invaluable lessons, shaping my skills and resilience. As I rebuilt myself, a startup company unexpectedly reached out to me. Their offer blew my mind - five times my old salary! I was in such shock, I almost asked if they'd added an extra zero by mistake!

Today? I'm a Lead Developer & Engineering Manager, living a life I once only dreamed of. The funny thing is, I'm now the one interviewing others, asking those tough questions I once struggled with. Talk about coming full circle!

Looking back, every setback helped me grow. From nearly dropping out of college to leading development teams, it's amazing how far you can go if you don't give up.
